A two-step process for removing plugins

You know how sometimes you’ll be working on refining a sound, and you’ll bypass one of the plugins you have on it, and you’re pretty sure it’s an improvement? But you’re not 100% sure? Like, you need more time listening in context to be really sure it was the right move?
