Does it bring you joy?

I saw someone post on Mastodon the other day:

My studio is currently turned off ... like very off. Give me a reason to turn it back on.

So I replied:

Does it bring you joy?

And they replied:

Yes, it does. Oddly, I hadn't actually considered that.

I was struck by the idea that they hadn’t even considered whether working in their studio was something that brought joy into their life. It felt as though maybe they had lost sight of something important.

I hope they turn their studio on, and I hope they find something there that they need.
