Positioning sounds in a mix, part III
Our dear friend Chetan Tierra sent this follow-up question, regarding positioning sounds in the virtual rooms we construct when we build mixes:
Out of curiosity, since you didn’t mention it, wouldn’t EQ add to the 3D space with up and down? Or is that not quite applicable.
And: yes! This is a bit of an “advanced topic,” so I didn’t mention it previously. But, just to drop a little hint: you can absolutely use EQ to position sounds in your 3D space more up or more down relative to one another.
